A frontline Chairmanship Aspirant on the platform All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2026 Igueben Local Government Council Election, Maxwell Isima has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to building a vibrant and inclusive local economy driven by empowerment, innovation, and opportunity.
Speaking to journalists on his development vision for Igueben Local Government Area, Isima emphasized that reducing unemployment and fostering economic self-reliance among residents remains a top priority of his agenda.
According to him, sustainable development is not possible without empowering the people to create wealth and contribute meaningfully to the local economy.
“Our goal is simple but strategic – to reduce unemployment through skill development, entrepreneurship support, and access to microcredit schemes that will enable our people to become economically self-reliant.”
Going further, the young Igueben philanthropist cum politician explained that his leadership blueprint focuses on harnessing local resources, promoting small and medium-scale enterprises, and partnering with relevant institutions to attract investment and job opportunities to Igueben. He believes that when the people are empowered, the entire community thrives.
“We will prioritize vocational training, youth empowerment, and agricultural entrepreneurship to stimulate growth from the grassroots. The future of Igueben depends on the productivity of its people, and we are ready to create the enabling environment for every resident to prosper,” Isima added.
