7th Year Remembrance of Mr. Fix It, Chief Anthony Akhakon Anenih, CFR popularly called Tony Anenih (“The Leader”)
Today marks seven years since the passing of Chief Tony Anenih, (CFR), fondly remembered across Nigeria as “The Leader (aka Mr. Fix It). Seven years may have passed since you departed this world, but your legacy remains as vibrant as ever, etched in the hearts of those you mentored, the lives you touched, and the nation you helped to shape.
Chief Tony Anenih was not just a political icon; he was a bridge-builder, a father figure, and a man whose words carried the weight of experience and sincerity. Through decades of public service, he championed unity, peace, and progress and always placing the interest of Edo State and Nigeria above personal gain.
He taught us that true leadership is not about holding titles but about inspiring others to rise. He lived by the values of loyalty, discipline, and compassion. His home was a place of counsel, his voice one of reason, and his vision for a just and prosperous society continues to guide us today.
As we mark his seventh remembrance, we celebrate not only his accomplishments but the spirit of mentorship and resilience he instilled in the next generation of leaders. Edo State and Nigeria remain indebted to the ideals he stood for — honesty, humility, and unwavering commitment to the common good.
Chief Tony Anenih’s legacy endures in the roads he built, the leaders he raised, and the countless lives he inspired. Though he is no longer with us in body, his footprints in the sands of time will never fade.
May the Almighty continue to grant his noble soul eternal rest, and may his memory forever be a blessing to our people.
