RENL Commissions Renovated Three-Classroom Block in Udo Community

Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited (RENL) has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainable community development with the commissioning of a newly renovated block of three classrooms equipped with chairs and tables at Udo primary school Udo community, Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State. The commissioning ceremony, held amidst cheers and celebration, was performed by the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Olivier Odoukou.

In his remarks, Mr. Odoukou expressed delight at the successful completion of the project, describing education as a vital pillar for community progress. He noted that the gesture reflects RENL’s long-standing commitment to improving the living standards of its host communities through meaningful social investments. According to him, “Every child deserves access to a conducive learning environment, and we are proud to support that vision through projects like this.”

The event attracted the Iyase of Udo, community chiefs, women leaders, teachers, parents, and pupils, who turned out in large numbers to witness the handover. The Iyase, Chief Ekhorutomwen Igbinidu JP, while commending RENL for its generosity, praised the company for being a reliable partner in the community’s growth and development. He also encouraged other corporate organizations to emulate RENL’s example.

In his goodwill message, the company’s Security and Public Relations Coordinator, Dayo Ikusika, admonished community members to take proper care of the facility and ensure it serves generations of pupils to come. He emphasized that maintaining such infrastructure is a collective responsibility that strengthens the bond between the company and its host communities.

Women leaders and parents expressed heartfelt appreciation to RENL, describing the project as a blessing that would enhance teaching and learning. The event ended with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mr. Odoukou, followed by a tour of the classrooms marking yet another milestone in RENL’s continuous partnership with the Udo community.0
