Statement Credited To Osatofoh Aitolo On Social Media Not From My Office, Says Utubor Eugene

The Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okpebholo on Political Matter Engagement and Mobilization, Hon. Utubor Eugene has disclaimed the statement credited to one Osatofo Aitolo circulating in some segments of social media platforms saying that the statement is not from his office.

As such does not represent the opinion or position of the office but solely the prerogative of the author who has since been disengaged from representing the office in any capacity and therefore urged the general public to disregard the statement.

According to a press statement signed by Hon. Utubor Eugene and made available to journalists in Benin, Edo State capital on Saturday, he said that the statement is not a reflection of his office and therefore urged the public to discountenance it.

The statement read:

“The Office of Hon. Eugene Utubor, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matter Engagement and Mobilization wishes to formally address and clarify the social media report titled, “Sir Owaen Fred Itua: A Vital Asset Needed For The Full Actualization Of The SHINE Agenda,” authored by Osatofoh Aitolo.

“The report which is circulating in some segments of social media platforms did not originate from my office as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matter Engagement and Mobilization, It does not reflect the opinion or position of my office.

“This statement serves to inform the public that the contents and assertions made by the author are solely his own and do not reflect the views of my office.

“Furthermore, we would like to clarify that Mr. Osatofoh Aitolo has since been disengaged from any responsibilities linked to this office due to unauthorized releases and related discrepancies regarding our communications.

“Honourable Eugene Utubor and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matter Engagement and Mobilization remain committed to supporting and advancing the SHINE Agenda under the leadership of the Uncommon Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo. We encourage the public to disregard the misleading information presented in the aforementioned report.

“We appreciate the continued support of the public and urge everyone to rely on verified communications from this office for accurate information regarding our initiatives and objectives.”
