A 39-year-old mother in Jikwoyi, Abuja, Rashida Alao has accused her 4-year-old daughter’s teacher of sexual assaulting her, after the child reportedly complained of pain and exhibited alarming symptoms. The suspect however was invited to the police station, where he allegedly confessed.
While talking during an interview (between 0:52-2:13 minute) with The News Central correspondent, the victim’s mother said, “On the 7th (Wednesday), January 2026, she came back early and I asked what happened to her and the reason she didn’t attend school lesson, then she explained that her body was paining her. I gave her painkiller and she slept.”
“In the evening, she went to urinate, and while I wanted to use water to wash her private part, she started crying then I left her. The next morning, which was on the 8th (Thursday), I opened her cloth and saw discharge and pus on her body. I had to wake her up and then asked her what happened. She asked me if she won’t die, and I said she wouldn’t die. Then she said it was her teacher. She said he did it to her one time in the school, and two times at another location. Then he told her that if she should tell anyone, she would die.”
“Then I went to go and make report at Jikwoyi Police Station and the boy was invited and he confessed to the crime, and said that he did it.”
