The outreach featured free medical consultations, eye screenings and glasses, tuberculosis test, HIV testing, Hepatitis B testing, cervical cancer screening, sexual and reproductive health education, and general wellness checks, all aimed at enhancing the health awareness of media professionals and the wider community.

The turnout was impressive on both days, with active participation from journalists and members of the public who took advantage of the free services provided.

This initiative was made possible with the support of reputable partners including Heartland Alliance, Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN), Briella Eye Care, Wilben Orphanage Foundation, African Positive Youths Initiative of Nigeria (APYIN), and the Honourable Member Representing Oredo West Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Richard Edosa, whose contributions were instrumental to the success of the outreach.

The President JCI Edo Bronze, JC Efosa Eweka expressed gratitude to all partners and participants, stating that the outreach was a strategic step toward supporting the media community’s health and advancing sustainable development goals, particularly SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

“This collaboration with NUJ Edo State Council demonstrates the power of synergy in addressing real societal needs. We’re proud of the impact made and look forward to scaling it in the future,” he said.

JCI Edo Bronze remains committed to community development, youth empowerment, and impactful collaborations that improve the lives of people across Edo State.
