Hon John Yakubu Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir

A People Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Edo Central Senatorial District by-election, Hon. John Yakubu has rejoiced with Muslims in.Edo Central Senatorial District in particular and Edo State at large, as they celebrate Eid-el-Adha, widely regarded as the feast of sacrifice by adherents of Islam.
Yakubu, in an Eid-el-Kabir message on Thursday, urged Edo Central people in particular, Edo State in general and Nigerians at large, particularly Muslim faithful, to celebrate the day in a peaceful manner, praying Almighty Allah to grant their heart desires.
He advised Muslims to imbibe the lessons of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim and to, at all times, pursue unity, peace, and progress of the State and Esanland.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Edo State, I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in the State and Edo Central Senatorial District a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
“As we celebrate this year’s Eid-al-Adha, I implore all adherents of the Islamic faith, to continue on the path of spirituality and peaceful coexistence and imbibe the lessons of the sacrifice made by Holy Prophet Ibrahim.”
Eid-al-Adha is a symbolic event in the history of mankind, particularly for Muslims, given the bountiful rewards that followed the patience and perseverance of Prophet Ibrahim, who held on tenaciously to his faith in Allah despite being afflicted.
