Bright Osayi Samuel U-13: Enabulele Commends Super Eagles Star, Wants Osayi Football Academy in Benin

The Executive Chairman, Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele has urged Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi Samuel to consider building a football academy in his father land Benin City, in furtherance of his grassroots football development project in the state.
Hon. Enabulele gave the advice on Tuesday, 2nd July, when he received Super Eagles Star Bright Osayi Samuel in his office at the Samuel Ogbermudia Stadium, Benin.
The Turkish giants FC Fenabhace defender and his parents paid the Edo State Sports CommissionCchairman Enabulele a courtesy visit before the final match of Bright Osayi Under 13 football tournament in Benin.
Hon Enabulele who commended Osayi for giving back to the society through grassroots football sponsorship said that it will be more beneficial to Bright Osayi and Edo State for Osayi to build a football academy in Benin, noting that Edo is known as football talents hub.
He assured the Super Eagles defence strongman of support in his football development project in Benin.
“We are proud of you as a son of the soil who has worked so hard to have a professional football career and earned national and international recognitions, and decided to give back to society through grassroots sports development aimed at discovery and nurturing talents.

“We sincerely appreciate you and family for the vision and the drive. I want to encourage you not to relent. Continue with what you are doing, we assure you of our support. We are ready to support you by assisting in securing the parcel of land for the football academy project in Benin. That is the way we can further encourage you. Your ideas are noble and we are interested in it. It will surely be a boost for your platform.
“We want to also commend your parents who have been behind you in all that you do. We know you are from a great family. Despite the fact that you were not born and raised in Nigeria, you decided to give back to your people in Edo. We are very happy about it and therefore pledge to support you in all you do henceforth.
Speaking, Osayi expressed his profound gratitude to the sports Commission boss and his board for the warm reception accorded him and promised to do more for Edo youths.
“I am happy to be back home, I know I wasn’t raised here, I grew up in England but I believe our kids here need assistance and opportunities. Everybody needs assistance. So,we want to see how we can use this platform to help our kids to grow into professional football stars,” he said.
Meanwhile, Okuta FC defeated Samco City FC 2-0 to win the second edition of Bright Osayi Samuel under 13 football tournament in Benin. Eric Momoh and Uwa Ijesurobo netted the goals to help their side.
The victorious team went home with N1 in Million Star Prize money with the Gold Cup while Samco City got N750k. The third place winners Namo FC went home with N500k consolation Prizes.
