UBTH CMD: Gov. Okpebholo, Agbebaku, Others Join Prof. Ize-Iyamu in Special Thanksgiving

Family, friends, and associates today Sunday 24th August, 2025, joined the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. (Mrs) Idia Nibokun Ize-Iyamu to express gratitude to God Almighty on her appointment as the 7th CMD of the tertiary health institution.
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo graced the occasion as well as other top government functionaries, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), business moguls, religious leaders from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) as well as staff and students of UNIBEN/UBTH.
In a sermon titled, “From Glory to Glory,” Prof. Iyasen

(PIC) Zone Trinity Sanctuary said that the blessings of God are abundant in the life and family of the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Prof (Mrs) Idia Nibokun Ize-Iyamu.
Prof. Dabor charged all to serve God diligently, assuring that the grace and glory of God will be evident in the lives of those who serve God in truth as in the family of the Ize-Iyamu’s.
He noted that “UBTH is lucky to have a CMD like you (Prof. Ize-Iyamu) because of the grace of God upon your life, adding that the glory of God will be upon UBTH and UBTH will attract international helpers under your watch as CMD.”
In her remarks, Prof. Ize-Iyamu appreciated God Almighty for his numerous blessings upon her and her family since the beginning of the year 2025. She said only God made it possible starting from her appointment as Dean School of Dentistry UNIBEN in the first half of 2025 and to the position of Chief Medical Director (CMD) of UBTH on August 7th, 2025.
Also speaking, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who is the hubby to the CMD, commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his unwavering support in ensuring the appointment came to reality.
Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service include Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, former Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, former Speaker, (EDHA), Rt. Hon. Francis Okiye, Justice Edigin (rtd), Justice Olubor.
Others are Edo APC State Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, Edo State APC Secretary, Lawrence Okah, former Deputy Governor, Rev. Mike Obadan, Mr. Akeem Tokurah, Hon. Valentine Asuen and former Speaker EDHA, Hon. Justin Okonoboh, Dr. Philip Ugbodaga, amongst others.
