The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) Worldwide, a Non-governmental and Non-Profit Making Social Cultural Pressure Group has reacted to a report by an online television platform (BeeTV) where the online station reported that the Okao-Noreguae of Ologbo and Ehor Dukedoms, Chief Emmanuel Iyase, Okao N’Oreguae has uncovered and successfully retrieved from the suspended Enogie of Ologbo Dukedum, Jason Owen Akenzua, items donated by Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) to Ologbo Dukedom for the creation of Skill Acquisition Centre for the people of the Dukedom.
Reacting to the claim, Elder Comrade Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, President of the Pressure Group who said BSM will not allow any form of injustice against any Benin Man or Woman in Benin Kingdom, noted that in a letter dated 27th June, 2025 addressed to Jason Owen Akenzua titled “Collection of Laptops, Generator, and Other Donated Items in Your Custody,” the suspended Enogie has since formerly handover the items donated by NPDC to the Okao N’Oreguae through representatives from both sides of the divide and wonder while the Iyase is hiding under the Okao N’Oregue to cause confusion and mislead the public and not just the people of Ologbo Dukedom alone but the entire Edo State.
According to him, “Iyase claim that the Enogie diverted the items is questionable. How did he (the suspended Enogie) diverted the equipments as they are waiting for NPDC to complete the building for the Skill Acquisition Centre, a proposed project of the NPDC which is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to Ologbo people before they can relocate the said equipments to the Skill Acquisition Building presently under Construction or Renovation. Now, the Okao is trying to blackmail and tarnish the reputation of the suspended Enogie for his selfish interest best known to him because our Oba Palace didn’t send him this he is doing now.
“Chief Emmanuel Iyase mentioned in his video that the suspended Enogie of Ologbo was deposed by our great Oba of Benin Kingdom, which is a fat LIE from the pit of hell, and shows his obvious desperate moves to take over the Traditional Stool of the suspended Enogie of Ologbo Dukedom which is a Taboo to the Oba Palace and the good people of Benin KINGDOM”.
The BSM Worldwide Group has therefore given a 7-day ultimatum by urging the Chief Iyase and the online BeeTV Station to do a rebuttal of the publication in Two National Dailies and Two Television Stations against the already published damaging news against the suspended Enogie of Ologbo Dukedom or the BSM Worldwide Group will be forced to seek redress in Court of Law to claim damages for defaming the character of the well-respected suspended Enogie of Ologbo Dukedom.
