The Organising Committee of The Benin Unity Football Cup Tournament has officially released the fixtures for the highly anticipated maiden edition of the competition involving the Seven Local Government Areas of Edo South Senatorial District of Edo State.
This was contained in statement signed by Secretary, Organising Committee, Moshood Karim and made available to newsmen in Benin, Edo State capital.
Moshood’s statement disclosed that the Chairman of the Oreganising Committee, Mr. Fred Newston, on Thursday, said all arrangements have been concluded to ensure a smooth and hitch-free tournament.
According to him, “The committee has worked tirelessly to put everything in place. We are fully prepared to deliver a well-organised and exciting tournament that will not only promote unity but also serve as a platform for discovering new football talents.”
The Benin Unity Football Cup, proudly sponsored by the senator representing Edo South Senatorial District at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Neda Imasuen, is designed to identify and develop young footballers across the disrtrict, with a focus on providing international exposure and overseas opportunities for standout talents.
According to the organisers, the football tournament will feature competitive fixtures among the participating Local Government Areas, celebrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and community pride through the beautiful game.
