Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited (RENL) today Monday, 1st December 2025, commissioned a fully renovated block of six classrooms equipped with new desks and chairs in Iguobazuwa community, Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The commissioning, led by the Managing Director of RENL, Olivier Odoukou, marks another milestone in the company’s commitment to supporting educational development within its host communities.
In his remarks, Olivier Odoukou stated that the renovation project was undertaken to provide pupils with a more conducive and dignified learning environment.
He emphasized that the company views education as a powerful tool for community advancement and remains dedicated to investing in projects that improve the quality of life of the people living around its operational areas.
Community leaders, education authorities, parents, and pupils attended the colourful ceremony.

The Odionwere of Iguobazuwa expressed profound appreciation to RENL for the timely intervention, noting that the renovated classrooms and provision of desks and chairs would significantly ease overcrowding, boost student morale, and enhance teaching efficiency.
Also speaking, the Security and Public Relations Coordinator of RENL encouraged the community to take responsibility for the upkeep of the facility.
He urged parents and leaders to ensure that the classrooms and furniture are properly protected so they can serve future generations.
The event featured goodwill messages, cultural displays, and a tour of the renovated block.
With this project, RENL continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable community development and educational support across its host communities.
