A frontline Igueben Local Government Chairmanship Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Edo State Local Government Council Election, Mr. Maxwell Isima has paid a working visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Ward 10 Ekpon Community to assess the level of compliance with the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

Speaking after the inspection, Maxwell Isima expressed concern over the turnout and admonished those who are yet to be registered to take advantage of this opportunity noting that the PVC is the only weapon to decide who become the Igueben local government council chairman come the forthcoming Edo LGC Election.

According to him, “Though the turnout today is encouraging, but I want to admonish our sons and daughters of Ekpon Community in partifular and Igueben at large who are yet to be registered to take advantage of this opportunity. Your PVC is the only weapon to decide who should be the next Chairman of Igueben local government council. I’m optimistic that with increased awareness, more of our people will come out to participate.”

The Igueben Chairmanship Aspirant also urged residents to consider transferring their polling units where necessary, especially from overpopulated areas to less dense ones, to ensure a smoother voting experience during elections. “We want to also encourage our people in densely populated units to transfer their polling units to less dense areas so that, during voting, the units are easier to manage,” Isima explained.

He further assured that as chairmanship aspirant, he would collaborate with traditional rulers, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders to intensify enlightenment campaigns. “I promise to work with our traditional rulers and other stakeholders to educate our people and encourage those who are yet to be registered to take advantage of this opportunity,” he added.

The visit underscores Mr. Maxwell Isima’s commitment to strengthening grassroots participation in the democratic process and ensuring that the people of Igueben are not left behind in national decision-making.
