Edo State Forest Guards Training Commences Friday, June 5

The Edo State Government on Thursday announced the training of newly recruited Forest Guards in the state

In a statement signed by Rt. Hon. Festus Ebea, State Commissioner for Public Safety and Security in Benin City, the state capital stated that the training will commence on Friday, June 5, 2026 for 6 weeks.

Ebea urged all candidates who have successfully been profiled by the Department of State Services (DSS) and completed medical screening at Edo Specialist Hospital to report to the Police Training School, Ogida Barracks, Benin City on or before 5:00 pm on the stipulated date.

He advised all candidates to come prepared with all required documentation and in compliance with the training facility’s protocols promising that other training facilities will be supplied to them thereafter.

“For further enquiries, contact the office of the Commissioner for Public Safety and Security,” he added.
