According to the suspension letter, the National President cited several reasons for the action, including allegations that Comrade Agwinede failed to effectively represent the organization, did not fulfil commitments made upon his appointment as State Commandant, and engaged in conduct that allegedly created conflicts with leaders and members of the Council since assuming office as the NYCN Edo State Chairman.

The Council further noted that, in accordance with the constitutional provisions of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, the organization operates through Voluntary Youth Organizations (VYOs) and Faith based Organizations rather than individual interests.

Consequently, and pending further directives from the Management and Resolutions from his organization, the Deputy State Chairman, Comrade Johnson Matthew Ogbogho, has assumed responsibility as the Acting Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Edo State Chapter, to ensure the continued administration and smooth operation of the Council’s activities within the state.

The Edo State Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the Constitution of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, promoting unity among youth organizations, and ensuring responsible leadership in the interest of young people across the state.
