Pastor Denies Knowing Whereabouts of Victor Osakue Osas Wanted By Police Over Murder Case

A Benin based clergy, Pastor Matthew Ose Ehigiamusoe, founder of Gods Abundance Blessings Ministry on Monday 4th May, 2026 denied before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State CID, Edo State Police Command knowing the whereabouts of Victor Osakue Osas who is currently wanted by the Edo Police Command for the alleged murder of two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth executives – Clement Iyekekpolo and Andrew Odigie in Egor Local Government Area of the state on the 20th October, 2020.

Pastor Ehigiamusoe is said to have known the whereabouts of the wanted Victor Osakue Osas and was subsequently invited by the State Police Command based on the petition written by Mr. Felix Iyekekpolo and Osazee Odigie on behalf of their families of the two dead PDP youth executive members of Egor local government chapter of the party.

Speaking to journalists at the Edo State Police Command, the Police Public Relations Officers (PPRO) ASP Ebo Ikoefem disclosed that there is a petition from the families of the two dead youth executive members of the Egor local government chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dated 4th Mahy, 2026 alleging that Pastor Matthew Ose Ehigiamusoe is with vital information capable of leading to the arrest and prosecution of wanted Victor Osakue Osas who was allegedly involved in their murder in October, 2020.

ASP Ikoefem disclosed that upon receipt of the petition, the State Police Command swing into action by writing an invitation letter of interrogation to the pastor being accused by the family to appear before the Police Investigators department to ascertain if really he knowns the whereabouts of the wanted Victor Osakue Osas.

“Pastor Matthew Ose Ehigiamusoe was duly interrogated for several hours by a team of investigators regarding the aforementioned allegations. The interrogation focused on determining whether he had withheld any material information relevant to the ongoing investigation and manhunt for the suspect.

“Upon conclusion of the interrogation, preliminary review of available evidence and the execution of a search warrant at his house, the Command found the allegations leveled against Pastor Matthew Ose Ehigiamusoe to be baseless and unfounded. There was no evidence to substantiate claims that he concealed information related to the whereabouts of the suspect.

“Following the interrogation and findings, Pastor Matthew Ehigiamusoe was released unconditionally and allowed to return home.”

Going further, the State Image maker stated that the Department reiterates that Victor Osakue Osas is still wanted for the alleged murder of 2 executive members of the PDP in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State and effort are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect Victor Osakue Osas in order for him to face the law for the alleged murder case.

“Investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the destruction of Pastor Matthew Ose Ehigiamusoe’s church properties”, the Police PRO added.

“The Police Command therefore appeal to member of the public that the said Victor Osakue Osas is still on the wanted list, that anyone with any useful information that may lead to the arrest of the said suspect Victor Osakue Osas should report immediately to the nearest Police Station or directly to the Edo State Police Command,” she said

Meanwhile, Pastor Matthew Ose Ehigiamusoe has reported attack case the state police command over the destruction of his church property during Sunday service and thereafter seeking for protection and appealed to police command to investigate and unravel those behind the attack which led to some members of his congregation to sustain injuries from the attacked.

Investigation by The9jaTREND Reporter revealed that while Sunday service was going, some unidentified youths stormed the church seeking to have audience with the pastor who was at that time on pulpit delivery sermon but the youths insisted of having audience with him.

Investigation revealed that while one of the ushers who asking them to a beat to allow the pastor finish preaching the youths descended on her while others made attempt to reach the pastor, but was quick enough to ran away through the back door.

Narrating his ordeal to our reporter, one of the ushers simply identified his name as Ezekiel stated that all members have to run for safety while some sustained injuries in the process.

As at the time of filing in this report, investigation is ongoing by the police to unravel those behind the attack as the PPRO promise to update the press on the findings in due course.
