PAINFUL EXIT: MRS. HELEN OKPOKHELEN SOLOMON(NEE OKOSUN)1974 – 2026

The families of Okosun of Enogban-Illeh, Esan West L.G.A, Ekpoma, Edo State and Otaroghene Solomon of Ughelli North L.G.A, Delta State announce with deep sorrow but total submission to God, the transition to glory of their beloved daughter, sister and mother, Mrs. Helen Okpokhelen Solomon, aged 52, after a brief illness.

Born in Ekpoma about 52 years ago, Helen was a child of grace. After her primary and post-primary education, she mastered fashion design and established herself in Ibadan, Oyo State, as a celebrated and innovative designer known for elegance and excellence.

Helen was a pillar in the Okosun family where she was a rallying point of support to her aged mother and siblings. She was a devoted Christian, virtuous woman, philanthropist counselor, and giver.

As a devoted mother, she raised 4 children: Joy Aigbe, Patrick Aigbe, Rita Aigbe, and Queen Solomon, in the way of the Lord.

She is survived by many brothers and sisters amongst whom are Dr Sunny Duke Okosun, Deputy General Manger, programmmes Division itv and radio

BURIAL ARRANGEMENTS:

Service of Songs & Wake Keep: Wednesday, 5th August 2026.
Venue: Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Monatan, Ibadan. Time: 5:00pm.

Thursday, 6th August 2026:
Body leaves UCH Mortuary, Ibadan to Enogban-Illeh, Ekpoma. Time: 7:00am.

Requiem Mass & Internment: Friday, 7th August 2026.
Venue: St. Michael Catholic Church, Enogban-Illeh. Time: 10:00am

Internment follows at Father’s Compound, Enogban-Illeh, Ekpoma. Entertainment follows.

Sleep on, Helen. Well done, good and faithful servant. – Matthew 25:23

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
