As part of the Edo State Government ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery and promote greater efficiency in the management of State affairs, Governor Monday Okpebholo on Friday, 11th September, 2026 approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of some commissioners.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq. and made available to newsmen in Benin, stated that Hon. Felix Ehiguese Akhabue have been re-deployed from Ministry of Water Resources to Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development while Barr. Vincent Osas Uwadiae re-deployed from Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to Ministry of Water Resources.
Others are Hon. Andrew Momodu, from Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa, from Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The statement disclosed that the re-deployment takes immediate effect, enjoining the affected commissioners to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear in their respective new portfolios and to remain committed to the Administration’s SHINE Agenda for the sustainable development of Edo State.
