The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, has been honoured with an Award of Recognition in acknowledgment of her developmental strides by the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN), UBTH Chapter.
Receiving the leadership of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN), UBTH Chapter, Prof. (Mrs.) Ize-Iyamu expressed appreciation to the IHSAN EXCO for the recognition and gesture of support.
She reaffirmed Management’s commitment to sustaining the gains recorded under the UBTH CARES Agenda, with particular emphasis on employee welfare, capacity building, and continuous improvement in healthcare service delivery.
Addressing the CMD, the Chairman of the IHSAN UBTH Chapter, Uwaila Ilesammi Joshua Esq., congratulated Prof. (Mrs.) Ize-Iyamu and commended Management’s efforts toward enhancing the welfare and professional development of staff.
The Chairman of the IHSAN UBTH Chapter noted the importance of sustaining these initiatives and exploring further opportunities to strengthen employee well-being and workplace support. He also pledged the institute’s continued collaboration with the hospital management to achieve institutional goals.
The newly elected EXCO members were formally presented to the CMD are Uwaila Ilesammi Joshua Esq. – Chairman, Aibuedefe Amadin Patrick – Vice Chairman, Arebojie Francis – Secretary, Iyore Clement – Treasurer.
Others are Ojigho Victor – Provost, Emma-Igiebor Gloria – Director of Welfare, Ehigiegba Edward – Financial Secretary, Uwheru Benedict – Public Relations Officer, Abeke Bridget – Assistant Secretary, Mordi Esther – Co-opted EXCO Member, and Ogbomwan Garvey – Co-opted EXCO Member.
