Imuse Returns As Edo State Chairman Of APC

As the All Progressives Party (APC) holds its State Congresses simultaneously across the country today, 16th of October, 2021, Edo State chapter of the party witnessed a series of setback meetings in Benin City residence of the immediate executive governor of Edo State and former National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole.
The meeting which was called at the instance of the former governor, witnessed the attendance of APC chieftains across the state and the Edo State Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni.
The meeting that started at the early hour of yesterday, 15th October, 2021 went through the night without any aggrieved faction willing or ready to shift ground to paved way for consensus candidates that will serve the Edo state chapter of the party for four years.
The former governor, Comrade Oshiomhole, according to reliable source close to the Party, have no option than to call National leadership of the party including President Muhammadu Buhari for intervention to save the party from imminent collapse in Edo.
At the end, Col. David Imuse (rtd) was returned as Edo State Chairman, Mr. Jarret Tenebe – Deputy State Chairman, Mr. Lawrence Okah – State Secretary while Mrs. Betty Okoebor to sarve as State Woman leader.
Comrade Tony Kabaka emerged as State Youth Leader, Hon. Fidelis Ogbejiele – State Financial Secretary, Mrs. Josephine Ibhaguezejele – Senatorial Woman Leader, among others.
