EID-EL-MAULUD: Oba Ewuare II Tasks Muslim On Prayers For Leaders, Peace, Unity

Ahead of the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolor, Oba Ewaure II has urged Muslim faithfuls to intensify prayers for God to give the country’s leaders the political, economic and religious wills to govern the country on the part of development, peace and unity.
In a press statement issued and signed by Mr. Victor Ogiemwanre, media aide to Oba Ewuare II, enjoined all Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
According to the statement, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolor, Oba Ewaure II urged Muslims to use religion to build bridges across social, cultural, ethnic and other aspects of life.
The statement further wished Muslims a happy and successful celebration.
