The Benin Monarch His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba Ewuare II says there is to restriction to the proposed federal government backed Benin Royal Museum contrary to claims by session of the society.

Oba Ewaure stated further that there was no cause for alarm on the rightful ownership and management of the expected return of the Benin looted artworks.

The Royal Father disclosed this when a top PDP chieftain High Chief Raymond Dokpesi paid him a courtesy visit at his palace , Benin City.

He reaffirmed that all the looted Benin antiquities would be repatriated to the proposed Benin Royal museum which is currently being sponsored by the federal government, saying that it will served as viable source of economic to the state and federal government.

The monarch, while hailing the unpresidented and positive media projection of the palace and Edo state by High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, prayed ancestors to preserve him.

Earlier, the visitor, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi told the monarch that he was in his palace to pay obescance and as well seek royal prayers and blessings.

He hailed the steps taken so far by the monarch at retrieving the looted artifacts, adding that him and patriotic Edo sons are in support of the palace for common goals.
