FG Join Forces With Edo To Host 8-Day Training Course On Child Nutrition

In a concerted effort to support maternal, infant and young child nutrition across Edo State, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has joined forces with state officials to host an extensive 8-day training course.
The program which was held in Benin City, commenced on June 30th and is slated to conclude on July 8th, 2024.
The training session saw the participation of key figures including the Edo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, Executive Secretary Edo State Primary Healthcare Agency, Dr. Omosigho Izedonmwen, and Director of Public Health, Dr. Stephen Ojiefoh, alongside representatives from the Federal Ministry of Health and delegates from various states.
Dr. Samuel Alli emphasized the pivotal role of the training, urging active participation to maximize learning outcomes and enable effective knowledge transfer.
Dr. Omosigho Izedonmwen warmly welcomed the trainers, underscoring the significance of the course in advancing healthcare practices.
The sessions included lectures on young children’s nutrition and counseling.
In addition, there was an interactive segment featuring discussions, demonstrations, and Question and Answer sessions to enhance comprehension and practical application of the teachings.
