There was this young naughty lady who liked to play with People’s emotions who lived in a small Town that was often attacked by a ravenous wolf. So the people developed a strategy on how to kill the wolf. Knowing that no one individual could kill the wolf because of its size they decided to kill the wolf as a mob.

So anyone who saw the wolf was to cry “wolf” and the whole Town would rush out and kill the wolf together. This little naughty boy wanting to test how alert the people in the town are one day shouted wolf even when there was no wolf. So he did and everyone rushed out only to discover that it was a hoax.

Another day the buy shouted wolf again and everyone came out with their weapons to kill the damn wolf and yet again no wolf. As the naughty lady was enjoying deceiving the people in this very day the wolf actually showed up and the boy confidently shouted wolf but no one came out. He screamed at the top of his voice and not one single person came out. I guess they all thought that the boy in his usual manner was trying to get them to come out so he could catch his fun.

I guess you know the remaining part of the story, the wolf had the poor boy for lunch and no one came to his rescue. What’s the purport of this story you may ask. Well this is it: APC Leadership at the federal level are the young naughty boy and the people in the small town are Nigerians. The wolf is the protest and expression of dissatisfaction by the Nigerian people.

APC has often lied to us crying wolf. They told us there was no fuel subsidy, that petrol should sell at N40 per liter and we came out to hear them out. They told us that the dollar exchange at N210 during President Goodluck Jonathan’s time was criminal and we believed them. They kept lying to us and we kept believing them and yet there was no truth in what they were saying. ( No wolf)

Now the wolf (mass protest) has caught up with them and no explanation is sufficient enough. Even the security agencies who protect the regime are caught in between joining the protest and doing their job of keeping peace and protecting lives and property. After all we all buy and sell in the same market. We all send our children to the same school and we all take our pregnant wives to the same hospital.

Finally the chicken has come home to roost and the baba who promised to hit the ground running has been hit left right and center. It is Nigerians that are running the country from the street while Baba Bala Blu is holed up somewhere waiting for the protests to subside. What a pitiable dismal bismal.
