By EDITOR
In less than 24 hours to Edo State governorship election, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Monday Okpebholo is said to be stranded in Benin City, the state capital after a leader of the party in the state has taken away all the money raised for tomorrow’s election.
Inside sources revealed that the leader who has always been accused of being a saboteur is said to have singlehandedly disbursed the money to those he called his trusted loyalists without any reservation for Senator Monday Okpebholo, governorship candidate of the party.
The inside sources further revealed that the same way the said leader sabotaged last year general election in Edo South and Central by denying both Senatorial districts of funds.
According to the inside source, “It was the personal popularity of Senator Monday Okpebholo tht saw the said leader through in his senatorial election after he was denied of funds from the central pulse.”
“It is his nature of doing things. During 2020 governorship election of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, that was what he did, how he also denied Ize-Iyamu access to fund,” the source added.
