New Year Felicitation
What A Year-2021!
This day in 2020, we all were looking forward to the year 2021 with confidence, hope and strong belief that the new year will be better than the last one.
For each and every one of us, the experiences were varied.
For those of us that lost loved ones during the year, Edo PDP expresses its deepest condolences. We share in your grief. God is your strength.
For those of us that had happy moments, we join you in God’s grace upon you and your family.
For those for which ‘nothing’ spectacular happened during the year, we join you in thanking God for His presence in our lives.
For the members of the PDP, next year 2022 will be a very critical year for us all. There have been obvious challenges in several fronts but as we enter 2022, let us all try to reawaken our spirit and tradition to meet the challenges facing our party. As a party, we have a tradition of facing the severest tests while working together to meet and overcome any adversity
My optimism stems from the strong belief in you the members of the PDP, who are extremely hard working, honest and you know what is right and will always do what is right with the fear of God. You will always do what will be good for the majority of members.
You all know that ‘politics is the art of the possible’.
I look forward to 2022 with a lot of positive optimism in spite of all the in-built embedded political landmines.
Let us all enter 2022 with love, with mutual respect for each other, with compassion and with empathy.
If we are together in unity, the other political parties might not bother to field candidates in the general elections to produce Senators, Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly members.
Our party began a registration exercise with a comprehensive data base of members including passport photographs, phone numbers, addresses and Voter Identification Number, VIN, and as at December 31, 2021, 240,000 members have been registered. Our target is one million Edo people.
Finally, join me in congratulating our Governor, HE Godwin Obaseki for all the major landmark projects he has started and completed this past year. With him, Edo people are in safe hands.
The wellbeing of all Edo people will always remain at the centre of what the party, the Governor and the Government does. I promise we will not deviate from this principle in 2022
May we experience blessings, victories, successes like never before in 2022.
