Chairman, Edo State PDP E-registration Committee has reassured party faithfuls that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is keenly determined to take power back to the people come 2023.

According to Adjoto, “Come 2023, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will take power in order to offer purposeful leadership for Nigerians as against the present crass inept leadership disposition of the APC led federal government.”

Rt. Hon. Kabiru Adjoto who is the Chairman, Edo State E-Registration Committee gave the assurance during the official flag off of the e-registration exercise at the State Secretariat of the Party, Benin City.

He said, “The first phase of the training will commence in Edo South Senatorial District at Imaguero College, Off Sapele Road, Benin City, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 followed by that of Edo Central Senatorial District at Esan West Council Hall on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. The last phase of the training will be in Edo North Senatorial District at DSP Event Centre, Jattu-Uzairue on Thursday September, 9 2021.”

Hon. Kabiru Adjoto added that the party is also setting up e-registration Technical Academy in each of the Senatorial District, where fresh agents will be receiving adequate training throughout the period of this exercise.

He said that the entire exercise will be leadership driven; party leaders are encouraged to help deepen awareness creation through diverse publicity mechanism such as sponsorship of jingles on Television and Radio as well as banners which may even bear the image of the sponsor.

“Party leaders are also at liberty to recommend individuals to us who they wish to sponsor as ward field agents for the exercise; details of such persons should be forwarded to Edo PDP e-registration Help Desk Centre located at number 59, Airport Road, Benin City.”

“We have also put all modalities in place to ensure that the exercise is all-inclusive to various categories of party members and intending members.

“Edo State is among the few pilot states where the exercise is expected to kick off in earnest and our performing governor, Godwin Obaseki is the National Chairman of this exercise, as such, Edo is expected to set the pace.

“Our target is to register at least one million (1,000,000) Edo People in the course of this exercise.

“We strongly believe that with the cooperation of our party members, Stakeholders and leaders, this feat is achievable.

“We enjoin all Nigerians to come under the shade of the Umbrella which is poised to shield us all from the prevailing insecurity, unprecedented economic crises and high level of international misrepresentation.”

“Therefore, the party’s technical team has come up with a software designed to aid data capturing either through self registration or field registration on the website: www.iampdp.com.

“The party’s technical committee has taken into cognizance the low technological penetration in most areas across the country; hence the importance of the field registration which will be coordinated by trained party agents in the 192 wards that make up Edo State.

“The State E-registration committee and the leadership of the party have put all machineries in place for the training of these agents who will be deployed to their various wards to drive the exercise,” opined.

In his response, Edo State Chairman of the party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi assured the e-registration committee members that Edo State is the habit of Nigeria and Edo PDP is happy that the governor of the state, Governor Godwin Obaseki is the National Chairman of the Party E-registration Committee.

“I want to assure Mr. Governor and the Committee that as far as the registration is concerned, Edo State must be captured fast, and the state should take the lead in the exercise.”
