The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) Worldwide, a socio-cultural and non-profit making organization has reacted to the recent ‘No Case to Answer’ by the Criminal High Court 2, in Benin City, Edo State capital over a suspect named “Isaiah Akpani” who was arrested by the Edo Vigilante Group a year after hiding at Kolokolo Community in Ologbo Dukedom, Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo State and was today, 22nd September, 2021 set free by the court.
According to the Press Statement issued and signed by the President of the Movement, Ambassador Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, “This confirmed alleged hired assassin cum gang of Johnson Asteruleghe in Ologbo Dukedom was freed today by DPP and the Judge, Justice G. Imadegbelo (who is the wife to Johnson Asteruleghe lawyer and also an Itsekiri woman by tribe).
“How can a sane mind, tell the world that this self-confessed killer be set free with ‘No Case to Answer” by the so-called DPP?,” Ambassador Ugbo asked.
The movement president’s statement stated that it will not relent to pursue the case to making sure that justice is done to the case of alleged murder of Sunny Etchie, the Okaeghele of Kolokolo Community in Ologbo Dukedom.
“The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) Worldwide says No to Criminalities and Injustice in Benin Kingdom. Enough is enough. Justice must triumph over evil deed by bad elements in Benin Kingdom” the statement opined.
