Catholic Men Org Of Nig Honours Festus Alenkhe

The Catholic Men Organization Of Nigeria, (CMO), has honoured Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, as part of its activities to mark this year’s Fathers Day.
The ceremony took place at St. Gabriel The Archangel Catholic Church, Event Hall, Sapele Road, Benin City.
The Award of Distinguished Excellent Service to Humanity was conferred on Comrade Festus Alenkhe by Rev Fr. Jerome Idebe, the Parish Priest of St. Gabriel The Archangel Catholic Church.
Before presenting the award, the Parish Priest described Comrade Festus Alenkhe as young man whose programme on EBS has cut across every nooks and crannies of the country.
“The Catholic Men Organization has observed with keen interest the inestimable contributions and meritorious service to humanity in making Edo State in particular and Nigeria at large a better place through his profession, vocation and generous contribution and therefore conferred on him An Award of Distinguished Excellent Service to Humanity,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Festus Alenkhe thanked the organization for the honour done him and promised to continue to discharge the official assignment which attracted the organization to recognized him.
He therefore encourage journalists to go about their official duties with the fear of God and endeavour to commit their daily activities into God’s hand to ensure smooth and uninterrupted discharge of their daily activities.
In his remark to the Fathers Day, Comrade Alenkhe called on fathers to always play the role of father to their wives, children and the society to make it a better place.
