Alleged Threat To Lives: Igueben Indigenes Cries Out To Edo Govt, CP, EDHA Speaker For Help

Three citizens of Idumogo, Idumeka and Idu-Omon Quarters of Igueben local government area of Edo State have called on Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the State Commissioner of Police and Speaker of EDHA to save them from the hand of Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele, member representing Igueben Constituency, Edo State House of Assembly, over what he know nothing about.
The victims are, Mr. Kenneth Ojeriakhi (A.K.A Papa K), Judu Agia and Edo Ojiegbede.
In a petition addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, Benin City, titled “Threat to Life With Violence and Cultism” through their solicitor, P. I. Akhilomen Esq. For P. I. Akhilomen & Co., the petitioners alleged that Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele led gang of cultist from Benin City in 2 different jeeps with their plate numbers covered with leather to Igueben to threaten their lives.
Parts of the petition reads, “THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, EDO STATE COMMAND, BENIN CITY. Sir, THREAT TO LIFE WITH VIOLENCE AND CULTISM
“We act as Solicitor to Mr. Kenneth Ojeriakhi (A.K.A Papa K), of No. 11, New Uromi/Agbor Road, Idumogo, Igueben, Judu Agia of Idumeka Quarters, Igueben and Edo Ojigbede of No. 13, Idu-Omon Quarters, Igueben herein referred to as “OUR CLIENT” who has given us positive instructions to state as follows:
“That on 2 day of July, 2022 being Saturday, our clients were in their various houses when Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele led gang of cultist from Benin City in 2 different jeeps with their plate numbers covered with leather to Igueben to threaten their lives.
“That Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele is the current elected House of Assembly Member representing Igueben constituency in Edo State House of Assembly, Benin city.
“That the said Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele led the gang of cultist numbering 10 armed with guns and other dangerous weapons to houses of our clients threatening them that he will eliminate our clients and their family member should they fail to support his candidate and the cultist seriously warned our client that their second visit will be bloody.
“That since the threat and fear of being killed due to the security problems in Nigeria, our client and family’s members no longer sleeps in their various houses and now takes refuge in their neighbour’s houses.
“That due to the threat of Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele and his gang members, our clients went to report the matter to the Divisional Police Station, Igueben. As soon as Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele got wind of our client going to the Divisional Police Station to report the matter, he also went to the Divisional Police Station, Igueben with his gang of cultist and attacked Mr. Edo Ojegbede, slapped him and injured him in the presence of the Police men, vigilante men and other persons who came to welcome the Commissioner of Police to Igueben Divisional Police Headquarter.”
Going further, the petitioners appealed to Edo State Commissioner of Police to use his good offices to bring the said honourable member of the Edo State House of Assembly to justice since he is now boasting that being a serving member of EDHA, he is above the law.
“Sir, we want you to use your good office to bring Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele and his gang of cultist to book so that their threat can be nipped in bud and our client to be able to sleep with their eyes closed.
“Finally, Hon. Ephraim Aluebhosele is now boasting the being a serving Honourable Member of Edo State House of Assembly, he is above the law.”
All efforts made by The9jaTREND reporter to get Hon. Ephraim Aluobhosele’s comment on the allegations prove abortive as his phone was witched off as at the time of filing in this report.
