Man Allegedly Dies From Dog Bite Scuffle In Sapele

A middle aged man has died in Sapele, in Delta State as a result of a scuffle that ensued when his domestic dog bit a neighbor’s child.
An eye witness account has it that the dog of the deceased bit the child of his neighbour some days back and the deceased was asked to take the child for treatment which he refused.
The victim, identified as Mr. Dafe Oyibo was said to be at his residence when relatives of the child that the dog bit met him and demanded that their child be taken for treatment.
In the scuffle that followed, Mr. Oyibo sustained injury on his head.
It was also gathered that as he attempted running to the hospital for treatment, he fell down from the motorcycle that he boarded.
When he was finally taken to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A police source from Sapele Police divisional headquarters confirmed the report and said the investigation is ongoing.
