Re: “On Hon. Murphy Imasuen And His Stolen Mandate”: Elevated Falsehood From Simple Minded – Ogbaloi
By Simeon OSAJIE
The Edo State Chairman of Labour Party (LP), Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi has described as preposterous and erroneously misleading, the spurious allegations trending on social media by one Agbo Blessing that the 11-man security, peace and conflict resolution committee set up to reconcile the aggrieved members within the party in the state has directed “mandate to be returned to the legitimate owner, Murphy”.
While reacting to the post making the round on social media, Comrade Ogbaloi described the post as high level demonstration of absurdity lacking merit, objectivity or common sense.
In a press statement issued, signed and made available to the newsmen, Comrade Ogbaloi observed that the entire story was ridiculously lacking in any sensorial wisdom and moral objectivity which are expedient of sound mental postulations.
According to him, “the entire story is outright elevated falsehood by moles planted by political enemies to discredit and tarnish the unblemished moral pedestals of its officials and the party itself.
“It was highly insensitively laughable and defaming to speculate and assert without any iota of truth nor proof that Hon. Elizabeth Ativie and the National Chairman of our great party Barr. Julius Abure ‘will soon be arrested for forging a withdrawal letter on behalf of Murphy Imasuen.’
“I would not have bothered joining issues with the author of the malicious and unfounded vituperations as it is totally devoid of sound reasoning but it could mislead the simple minded individuals like the author and so this explanation however becomes imperative to dispel the futile political coloration by those seeking to stand facts on its head with an intent to tarnish the image of our party and the moral strength of character of our leaders, therefore this is to put the record straight.
“It is absolutely correct to say that our National Party leadership actually set up
11-man Security, Peace, and Conflict Resolution Committee headed by Chief Friday Toyin Ibadin to reconcile aggrieved members within the party, including those who contested for House of Representative ticket.
“However, the committee has not been able to conclude its investigations and findings on the various issues before the committee. It has not been able to also hear from all the parties concerned. All the pieces of evidence needed have not been produced by those expected to bring them before the Committee went for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
“They are expected to resume sitting as soon as the yuletide is over and we are all waiting for them to resume and give us their reports and findings.”
Going further, Comrade Ogbaloi added: “How do you issue a report midway when you have not concluded on your investigations? Does that sound logical or reasonable to any right thinking human being?
“They have not come up with any report on all the issues before the Committee went on holidays. So how do you write a report without all the necessary evidence to support your argument?
“In the light of the above therefore, I would urge all our highly esteemed members of the Obidient family and our teeming supporters to disregard the jaundiced and unfounded invectives lacking in moral or intellectual suasion and I urge you all to focus more on our collective and unflinching resolve to take back our country from the labyrinth of vicious circle of governance on a rocking horse full of motion without movement nor direction.”
