Yakubu Hails Osimhen For Helping Napoli Win Italian Serial A League Title After 33 Yrs.

A former Chairman of Esan North-East Local Government Council and Edo State 2024 Governorship hopeful, Hon. John Yakubu has hailed Nigerian football international and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen for his role in helping Napoli Football Club of  the Italian Serial A for not only gaining  top spot but also winning the league for the first time in more than three decades.

In press statement issued and signed by Hon. John Yakubu said that Victor Osimhen by this feat has also demonstrated the indomitable spirit of the Edo person that calls for celebration by all Edo people.

Yakubu congratulated the striker for not only bringing glory to his club, Nigeria but indeed Edo State, his state of origin.

The former Esan North-Local Government Council boss disclosed that he was personally proud of his exploits describing him as a role model to all Edo youths, and also used the occasion to call on all Edo youths to emulate the can do spirit of Victor Osimhen in whatever field they may find themselves saying that hard work is the surest way to genuine and lasting success.

The Edo 2024 governorship hopeful said if given the opportunity to serve Edo State as its Chief Servant in 2024, that he will help to create the necessary enabling environment that will bring out the best in our youths, adding that there were many hidden talents like Victor Osimhen, be it in sports, IT, or  in the creative arts, who for now lack the necessary support and environment to shine.

He urged both the federal and state governments to do more for our youths to unleash their creativity, not only for their self-fulfillment, but for the overall benefit of the society.
