I’m Not Part Of Apapa-led Factional Labour Party – Sugaba Benjamin
By Simeon OSAJIE
The Chairman, Etsako Central Local Government Area chapter of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Sugaba Benjamin has debunked the rumour trending on social media that he is part of the Apapa-led faction of the party party in Edo State.
Sugaba said that the news is completely incorrect as it was the figment of the imagination of his enemies trying to rob him into what he doesn’t know anything about.
This was contained in a press statement issued and signed and made available to the newsmen earlier today.
The statement reads in part: “I, Mr. Sugaba Benjamin, the Chairman, Etsako Central Local Government Area chapter of Labour Party (LP) would like to use this medium to debunk the rumour trending on the social media platforms that I belong to the Apape-led faction of Labour Party in Edo State.
“I hereby dissociate myself from such trending story. I am not part of the tragic power seeker of the Apapa-led group of the party in Edo State, neither do I belong to any other group.
“I don’t know how they got my name into their list; those who smuggled my name there are my enemies as I have been an old loyal party man working for the growth and development of the party in Etsako central local government area.
“I have no reason whatsoever to form or join a tragic factional leadership in Labour Party mostly at this time when we are gaining national prominence under the selfless, dynamic and visionary leadership of Barr. Julius Abure-led national executive and Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi-led executive at the State level”.
Mr. Sugaba Benjamin therefore urge members of Labour Party in Etsako Central Local government area and the general public to disregard the wrong information contained in that list.
