A frontline Edo State 2024 Governorship aspirant under the platform of Labour Party (LP) Ambassador Curtis Eghosa Ugbo has urged Edo State indigenes to work together in unison, irrespective of their ethno-religious inclinations to ensure the country’s progress.
In a statement personally issued and signed by him which was made available to newsmen urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice, which is the hallmark of the season as they celebrate Eid Mubarak Celebration.
He said, “I felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters as we mark the Eid Mubarak festivities.”
Ambassador Eghosa Ugbo who is also the President of the Benin Solidarity Movement BSM Worldwide noted, “Eid Mubarak is a special celebration that reminds mankind that patience, trust, faith, obedience and sacrifice brings mankind closer to Allah
“I urge all muslins brothers and sisters to use this period to pray for our country, Nigeria. Pray to Allah to give us peace and unity to make the country great.
“We have been going through a debilitating crisis and huge challenges that test the will of the human person. But we are still trudging along, keeping hope alive and utilizing available opportunities to better our lives.
Ugbo said Governments at different levels have been making efforts to address our economic and security challenges but a lot still needs to be done,”
Saluting Nigerians for their patience and sacrifices in emulating the uncommon sacrifice of Ibrahim in obedience to God, The Labour Party governorship drontline said just as Ibrahim was richly rewarded, our patience and sacrifices in this trying time will not be ignored by Almighty God, who is ever merciful.
“He will remove these afflictions and restore peace and prosperity to our country. As you are aware, I have put myself forward for the office of the Governor of Edo State. I want to serve our people and take the state to higher heights. I seek the support of all men and women of goodwill. Let us work together to effectively and efficiently deliver services to our people and safeguard their lives and livelihoods. It is a duty we owe our state and our people,” he said.
