Edo Govt To Commence ‘Operation Plan Edo Enforcement Exercise’

Edo State government through the Ministry of Physical Planning, Housing, Urban and Regional Development has said that it’s set to commence enforcement mark, seal and/or remove exercise from day, 22nd July, 2024 on unapproved Building on moats, Rights-of Way, Flood Plains, under Powerline and Roads.
According to a statement issued and signed by Isoken Omo, Honorable Commissioner, the affected areas are Irihiri – Arougba and Sapele Road Axis of Benin metropolis.
The statement read in part: “PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT – MINISTRY OF PHYSICAL PLANNING, HOUSING, URBAN AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMENCES OPERATION PLAN EDO ENFORCEMENT EXERCISE ACROSS BENIN CITY
“Please be aware that Physical Planning enforcement teams will be re-commencing the Operation Plan Edo Enforcement Exercise from today Saturday July 22, 2023 in the Irihiri – Arougba and Sapele Road Axis. People building without approval, buildings on moats, Rights-of-Way, Flood plains, under powerlines and roads will be marked, sealed and/or removed. Everyone with valid approval/Conveyance letter is advised to make a copy available for viewing by the officers.
