Easter: Edo Deputy Speaker Edeko Preaches Love, Perseverance

The Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, EDHA), Rt. Hon (Mrs) Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko has called on Nigerians particularly Christians to emulate the virtues of humility, perseverance and love as they celebrate Easter in commemoration if the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Also implored christians to use the occasion to seek the face of God for continuous peace as the state prepares for the September governorship election.

She said, “As we celebrate the
the sacrifice of our lord Jesus Christ on the calvary, I urged everyone to reflect on the significance of this day which embodies Christ’s love for mankind by imbibing the virtues of love and selflessness as Jesus Christ did by sacrificing his life on the cross”.

According to her, Easter symbolises love, sacrifice and service to God, so we need to reflect on the significance.
