All is set for the founder of Okoukoni Care Foundation and a 2024 governorship aspirant under the platform of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Martins Azekhumhen Okouni to assist Edo State residents who are eligible for WAEC/NECO examination with financial support to enable them enroll for 2024/2025 examination exercise.

Speaking to newsmen through a telephone call, Mr. Okoukoni said his foundation has perfected plan to ensure qualified Edo State students enroll in this 2024/2025 examination exercise.

According to him, “It’s about the time that Okoukoni Care Foundation supports our young people for the enrolment of WAEC/NECO examinations and it has become annual event.

“We shall be supporting Edo State residents who are eligible for WAEC/NECO examination with financial support to enable them enroll for 2024/2025 examination exercise.

“The financial support is for the less privileged in our society.”

Okoukoni said the importance of education cannot be over-emphasized as it still remains the sure foundation of any developed nations.

“If a country is said to be developed, the educational system of that country has the credit,” he added.

The founder of Okoukoni Care Foundation noted that there are a lot of school children that have dropped out of schools or ended up their educational pursuit half way just because there is no money to further it.

He said as a lover of education, he will not fold his hands and watch the children who are the future leaders of the country been deprived from achieving their goals and put the country in the right footings.

He said that, to achieve that, the children must be allowed to go to school and not to be hindered.

While emphasizing that the enrollment for the indigent students of the state, is just part of his contributions to the development of the state and by extension, Nigeria at large, he however called on the would-be beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity and put in their best in their academics so that the purpose of giving out that money would be justified.
