ITV, Radio Set To Host Edo 2024 Gov’Ship Town Hall Meeting

All is now set for Independent Television ITV and Radio 2024 Edo State Governorship Election Town Hall meeting, with the theme: “Leadership For Better Edo State.”
The9jaTREND disclosed that in a statement by the Chairman, Special Events Committee, ITV and Radio, Dr. Sunny Duke Okosun says the event will provide an ample opportunity for political parties to showcase achievements recorded and why Edo State people must vote one of the leading candidates for Edo 2024.
According to Dr. Okosun, the objectives of the event are to educate voters about the candidates, their platforms, and policies, encourage citizen participation, questions, and discussions, provide a platform for party representatives to debate and share their visions.
“Others are promote openness and clarity on issues and policies, foster community engagement, connection, and inclusivity, empower voters to make informed decisions and allow voters to assess candidates’ leadership, policies, and character.”
The event is scheduled for Friday, 9th of August, 2024 at Elora Royal Hall and Suite, Sapele Road, Benin City at 10am.
The statement further added that Professor Eddy Erhagbe of the Department of History and International Studies, University of Benin (UNIBEN) will be the Keynote Speaker while eight political parties participating namely: AAC, APC, APGA, LP, PDP, YPP and NNPP are expected to send three party representatives for the panelist discussion segments.
The event is expected to attract over one thousand persons across Political Parties in attendance.
The highly anticipated event which offers a unique platform to showcase the credentials of the governorship candidates and their running mates as well as manifesto of the political parties will be broadcast live on ITV and Radio and will in no doubt enrich the democratic process by enhancing the quality of the election, provide a broader audience and improve the governance that follows.
