LP, Akpata Declares September 21 Edo Freedom Day

The Edo State governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the September 21 governorship election, Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata has declared September 21 Edo State gubernatorial election as Edo Freedom Day.
The9jaTREND disclosed that in a statement signed by Labour Party State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Sam Uroupa and made available to newsmen in Benin City the State capital said Akpata’s declaration marks a turning point in Edo State’s trajectory, as the people will finally break free from the shackles of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC)’s leadership failures.
Addressing Edo voters during a ward-to-ward campaign in Benin City, Akpata lamented the 25 years reign of PDP and APC, during which they failed to provide basic necessities like quality education, world-class infrastructure, accessible healthcare, food security, and effective security. Despite receiving a whopping N16 billion monthly allocation and accumulating a staggering N600 billion debt, these parties have nothing to show for it.
Akpata promised to create an enabling environment for Edo people both for the city center and rural communities to thrive, providing: Quality education that equips our children for the future, World-class infrastructure that facilitates economic growth, Accessible healthcare that caters to the well-being of all, Food security that ensures no Edo person goes hungry, Effective security that guarantees safety and peace.
Akpata emphasized that September 21st is not just an election day but a freedom day for Edo people to take back their state from failed leaders.
He urged all Edo people to join this revolution and vote Labour Party on September 21st, promising that together, we can build a better Edo State for all.
