The Edo State chapter of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) has felicitated with the Esama of Benin Kingdom and Honorary Romanian Consul to Edo/Delta States, Sir, (Dr) Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion on the occasion of his 90th birthday celebration coming up on 11th September.

In a congratulatory message signed by the President of the Edo State chapter of the association, Dr. Irene Akhideno described Chief Igbinedion as a shining inspiration to Edo people and humanity in general.

While appreciating the Esama’s contributions to the association as its patron, the statement noted that Chief Igbinedion’s commitment to the development and preservation of our culture and heritage has left indelible footprint on our community.

“On behalf of the Committee of Past Presidents, Executives and members of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, Edo State, we would like to extend our warmest felicitations to you on your 90th birthday! This remarkable milestone is a testament to your enduring strength, wisdom, and remarkable contributions to society.

“As the Esama of Benin kingdom, you have been a shining beacon of inspiration for all of us. Your relentless commitment to the development and preservation of our culture and heritage has left an indelible mark on our community. Your unwavering support for MWAN Edo as our esteemed patron has been invaluable, and we are grateful for your guidance and encouragement.

“Your remarkable achievements  in the advancement of Medicine with the IUO Medical school and Teaching hospital, and philanthropic endeavors have touched the lives of countless individuals, bringing hope and empowerment to those in need especially women,  children and vulnerable persons. Your dedication to education, healthcare, and various community initiatives has transformed countless lives and paved the way for a brighter future”.
