Action Alliance Sets for Ward, LGA, State Congresses, Nat’l Convention As Edo Elects New SWC

Following the expiration of four years tenure of the Executives of the Action Alliance (AA), at all levels, the leadership of the party has formally notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on its plan Congresses and National Convention.

In a letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC, signed by Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze and Vernimbe A. James, National Chairman and National Secretary respectively, the party stated that Ward Executive Committee at Action Alliance Party Offices Nationwide on the 23rd of March, 2025, while LGA Executive Committee will take place at Action Alliance Party Offices Nationwide on the 27th March, 2025 and State Executive Committee will take place at Action Alliance Party Secretariat Nationwide on the 6th of April, 2025.

The letter added that the National Executive Committee (National Convention) of the party will take place at Action Alliance National Headquarters, Abuja on the 13th April, 2025.

This is sequence to Article 14,15 and 34a(iv) of the Action Alliance 2005 Constitution as amended that the National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Think Tank Committee (NTTC) of the party shall approved the date for the conduct of the party Ward, LGA and State Congresses and National Convention to elect new party Executives at all levels.

The statement further added that there will be Oath Taking/Swearing-in of the newly Elected Executives at all level scheduled to hold as follows: Ward Executive Committee: Date: 23^rd March, 2024 at Action Alliance Ward Party Officers Nationwide, LGA Executive – 27^th March, 2025 at Action Alliance LGA Officers Nationwide, State Executive Committee – 6^th April, 2025 at Action Alliance State Headquarters Nationwide and National Executive Committee – 13^th April, 2025 at Action Alliance National Headquarters, Abuja.

Meanwhile, Edo State chapter of the Action Alliance (AA) has elected State Working Committee (SWC) to pilot the affairs of the party in the next four years after the expiration of the former SWC.

The State Congress held on the 8th February, Hon. Osaro Uwaifo was elected as Chairman SWC, while Tony Heritage was elected as Deputy Chairman, Sunday Ilavbare emerged as Secretary, Godspower Osaretin – Deputy Secretary, Pat Okhuahesuyi – Treasurer, Ahonle Mariam – Deputy Treasurer and Ehiguse Ehudiamen – Financial Secretary.

Others are: Victor Osasu – Dep. Fin. Secretary, Nosa Ehirobo – Auditor, Peter Omoruyi – Dep. Auditor, Odion Jennifer – Org. Secretary, Okocha Odia – Dep. Org. Secretary, Abraham Osagiede – Pub. Secretary, Anna Momeh – Dep. Pub. Secretary, Julius Ade – Legal Adviser, Tina Oyemeda – Dep. Legal Adviser, Christy Okoere – Women Leader, Iye. Olubor- Dep. Women Leader, Imasue Kelvin – Youth Leader and Charles Igbinedion – Dep. Youth Leader.
