Gov Okpebholo’s Aide, Barr. Vincent Akhere Inspect On Going WEAC Examinations In Edo

The Special Adviser (SA) to Edo State Governor on Education, Barr. Vincent Akhere has disclosed that the love, care and concern of Governor Monday Okpebholo for education and adult children knows no bound as he assured that the governor will continue to prioritize education in the state.
Barr. Akhere disclosed this during his visitation to schools in Benin metropolis to monitor the ongoing West African Examination Council (WAEC).
Barr. Akhere reminded the students of the governor’s efforts towards the fight against cultism and why the students should shun cult-related activities.
According to him, “You are aware already about the war against cultism in the universities and secondary schools in the State declared by our common government. He has also declared war against examination malpractice and collusion.
“There should be no collusion because the governor and the State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Paddy Iyamu has zero tolerant in examination malpractice.”

Though some centers were delayed due to delay for examination materials to get to them, but the atmosphere and composure of the students remained calm as the examinations went on smoothly.
Speaking to newsmen in an interview as the last section of the paper was behind timing, the senior prefect of the Edokpolor Boys Grammar School, John C. Akojie said the two papers taken earlier went about smoothly and they are patiently for the last section by the examiner.
Also in an interview with newsmen, the SA to Governor Okpebholo on Education, Barr Vincent Akere, appreciated the governor for his passion and love for Edo people and students.
According to him, “All the schools visited today, the students were full of praises for His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebnholo, They were so happy with our common governor.
“Our inspection across secondary schools in Benin City and other parts of Edo State are testament of strong commitment by the Edo State government to uphold the integrity and smooth conduct of the ongoing West African examinations. Under the directive of Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo and the Commissioner for Education Dr. Paddy Iyamu, our visit not only served as a supervisory exercise, but also as a morale boost for students.”
