A Brazen Assault on Democracy: Glory Oziegbe Momodu Totally Rejects Falsified Edo Central APC Senatorial Primary Bye-Election Results

I, Glory Oziegbe Momodu, stand today to vehemently reject and denounce the fraudulent results being peddled as the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Edo Central Senatorial primary bye-election.

This travesty of democracy declares Joe Ikpea as winner while shamelessly claiming that I, in my own Local Government Area where countless loyal APC members queued up and voted for me with pride and conviction supposedly received zero votes. Zero? This is not just a lie; it is a calculated attempt to erase the voice of the people and to mock every man, woman, and youth who stood in line believing their votes would count.

This brazen falsification is an insult to our party members, a stain on the integrity of our party, and a direct assault on the democratic values that bind us together. The APC was built on fairness, transparency, and internal democracy. If we allow such impunity to stand, we betray the very soul of our party and the trust of the people we aspire to serve.

I call on the national leadership of our great party to rise to the occasion to urgently investigate and correct this daylight robbery. The will of Edo Central APC members must not be subverted by those who believe they can manipulate figures in dark corners and impose candidates on the people.

To my teeming supporters: remain calm, but resolute. This fight is not over. Your voices will not be silenced. Your votes will not be erased. We will use every legitimate and legal avenue to ensure that truth and justice prevail.

Edo Central has spoken, and no falsified figures can change the will of the people.
