The Odionwere of Obazuwa Community in Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State, Pa Roland Aimuamwosa Oyenmwense on Thursday, 15th January, pronounced the removal of Odaro Peace Ibizugbe, Okaighele from the position of the Okaighele of Obazuwa Community with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement with Reference No. OV/ED/VOL.2/ 15/01/2026 dated 15th January, 2026 and signed by the Odionwere, Pa Roland Oyenmwense made available to journalists in Benin City, Edo State capital.
The statement read:
“Our Ref: OV/ED/VOL.2/ 15/01/2026 Date: 15th January, 2026
“RE: THE MATTER OF THE REMOVAL/SACK OF ODARO PEACE IBIZUGBE AS THE OKAIGHELE OF OBAZUWA COMMUNITY IN OVIA NORTH-EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, OFF EKEHUAN ROAD, EDO STATE
“Above subject matter refers.
“It should be recalled that on Tuesday the 9th day of December, 2025, the Odionwere of Obazuwa Community – PA ROLAND AIMUAMWOSA OYENMWENSE pronounced the removal of ODARO PEACE IBIZUGBE from the position of the Okaighele of Obazuwa Community with immediate effect. That decision which was contained in a Press Statement dated same day was announced in the media through the Independent Television and Radio, and Edo Broadcasting Service respectively to the general public.
“That decision by the Odionwere stands, and consequently, the general public is by this second publication advised to take note of the development and desist from dong any business with the said former Okaighele in respect of the community or any other matter related thereon. Whosoever does so is at his or her own risk, as the said ODARO PEACE IBIZUGBE has been warned to stop parading himself as the Okaighele of Obazuwa Community.
