As we gradually enter a new season of elections, close watchers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State can observe the sinister roles of some desperate aspirants trying to discredit the Governor.
Some of them are busy, behind the scenes, canvassing reasons why Governor Monday Okpebholo should not be given a second term instead of supporting him for the great work he has done and continues to do, and encouraging him to continue to improve.
After all, no performance can be good enough not to have room for improvement.
I have never had cause to meet Governor Okpebholo privately as I believe he should be allowed to demonstrate his ability.

That is tI think he is doing well so far.
As a man from a less privileged background, he has demonstrated that the plight of the poor and underprivileged touches his heart painfully.
All men and women of good will should therefore encourage him to continue with his good work and empathy for the masses.
He has not forgotten his humble background.
Many may have forgotten how he sent an envoy to rescue a poor victim of human trafficking from sex slavery in faraway Bokina Faso a few months after he assumed officee work of a Governor who sincerely cares for his citizens.

Or are some people unhappy that our silently working Governor is opening up neglected communities with good roads.
Whoever dreamt that Benin City, the Edo State Capital, would be having two flyovers under construction within eighteen months?
Governance is not like essay writing or quizzes competition where the number of words used and how they are used determine the score.
How the governance alleviates the sufferings of the people, considered against available means and prevailing circumstances, should be of utmost consideration.
Governor Okpebholo should please remain focus.
