Aspirant in the forthcoming Edo State Local Government Council Election, Mr. Maxwell Isima on Wednesday appealed to officials of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in charge of National Identification Number (NIN) to assist members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekpon Community to register their NIN.
Isima stated this while speaking to journalists in respect of the ongoing APC E-Registration exercise at his home town Ekpon in Igueben local government area of Edo State.
According to him, “In my ward here in Ekpon, the NIN E-machine they brought is preventing majority of my people to register for their APC e-membership card. And the official sent by NIMC for NIN registration came late on Sunday and the machine is not functioning.
“The Ekpon people who were available for NIN registration to enable them to do the APC e-registration card waited in futility because it is their NIN that will pave way for their APC E-Registration card.
“So, I want to appeal to those in charge of NIN registration at NIMC commission should as a matter of urgency help my good people of Ekpon Community to register the NIN that will enable them register in th ongoing APC E-Registration card that is going on across Edo State “
