…Says Tenebe’s leadership has taken Party to heights unimagined
By Simeon OSAJIE
The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has showered praises on the leadership of the State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe saying it has taken the party to lofty heights unimagined.
The APC stated this in response to recent criticism of Tenebe’s Leadership by an unnamed diaspora group.
Under the leadership of the State Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, the party has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness since assuming office, it asserts.
This was contained in a statement by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Peter Uwadiae Igbinigie made available to journalists in Benin City Edo State chapter.
Ordinarily, the criticism would not have deserved any response but for the interest of clarity, party unity, and public accountability, it has become imperative to set the record straight, it was said.
Full Text of the Statement
The attention of the Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a purported open letter circulating under the banner of a diaspora media group, containing allegations and insinuations against the leadership of the party in Edo State.
Ordinarily, such communications, characterised by conjecture, half-truths, and deliberate misrepresentation would not warrant a response.
However, in the interest of clarity, party unity, and public accountability, it has become imperative to set the record straight.
First, the Edo APC under the leadership of its State Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness since assuming office.
Through strategic engagement, grassroots mobilization, and disciplined coordination, the party has not only strengthened its internal structures but has also repositioned itself as the dominant political force in the state.
This renewed momentum has significantly diminished the influence of opposition parties, many of which now struggle to maintain cohesion or relevance in the face of the APC’s growing acceptance among the people.
Chairman Emperor Jarrett Tenebe has also proven himself to be a unifying figure, bridging divides, reconciling differing interests, and fostering a shared sense of purpose among party members.
The relative stability and cohesion currently enjoyed within the Edo APC are the direct outcomes of deliberate, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership.
On the issue of internal democracy, the party remains firmly committed to providing a level playing ground for all aspirants vying for positions in the forthcoming elections.
Clear mechanisms are being strengthened to ensure transparency, fairness, and strict adherence to due process.
The APC in Edo State recognizes that credible primaries are fundamental to electoral success, and no effort will be spared in guaranteeing equal opportunity for all qualified members.
Furthermore, the administration of the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, continues to implement the developmental blueprint encapsulated in the ‘SHINE Agenda,’ while aligning with the broader ‘Renewed Hope’ vision of *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Visible progress is being recorded across key sectors, including infrastructure, education, and security; clear indications of a government committed to sustainable development and improved quality of life for citizens.
The Edo APC therefore cautions strongly against attempts by unverified groups to create confusion, spread misinformation, and undermine the unity and stability of the party through baseless and inflammatory publications.
Such actions are not only misleading but also detrimental to the collective interest(s) of the party and its supporters.
Let it be unequivocally stated: those responsible for this publication will regret pursuing a course aimed at sowing discord within a party that is steadily consolidating its gains.
The APC remains focused, united, and resolute in its mission to deliver good governance to the people of Edo State.
Hence, the Party urges all members and stakeholders to disregard the contents of the said letter, and to remain steadfast in their commitment to its ideals and progress.
