In a statement issued by his Chief Strategist, Dr. Daniel Moses, on Monday, Bibi said Nigeria’s democracy must continue to protect political participation, citizens’ rights and the freedom of political association.

He said the matter was now before the appropriate legal and constitutional channels, adding that the party’s national leadership had already taken necessary steps to address the situation.

“Hon. Sunny Aguebor Bibi JP remains focused, calm and resolute. His commitment to Edo South has not changed. His mission remains the same: to provide purposeful, courageous and people-centred representation for our senatorial district and Nigeria at large,” the statement said.

The statement urged supporters across Oredo, Egor, Ikpoba Okha, Ovia North East, Ovia South West, Orhionmwon and Uhunmwonde local government areas to remain peaceful, law-abiding and disciplined.

Bibi also encouraged campaign structures, ward coordinators, youth and women leaders, as well as community representatives, to continue with lawful voter education, grassroots mobilisation and community engagement while awaiting further directives from the party leadership.

He expressed confidence that the rule of law would prevail, stressing that democratic institutions must be respected and political differences resolved through constitutional means.

“The mandate of the people cannot be silenced by temporary legal turbulence. Our faith remains strong. Our structure remains intact. Our vision remains alive,” the statement added.
