It also identifies road projects where drainage was incorporated into the construction or rehabilitation works.

The 51-ProjectS Claim

The document presents the projects under the heading “51 Landmark Projects” and describes them as part of Yakubu’s record of interventions.
The publication of the list provides an opportunity for residents, community leaders and relevant authorities to examine the individual projects, their locations, implementation periods, funding sources and current status.

For purposes of responsible journalism, the project list should be treated as a claim contained in the circulated material until independently verified through project records, site visits, government/community records or other documentary evidence.

A Record for Public Examination

Beyond the political dimension surrounding the document, the projects cover areas directly connected to community development: roads, drainage, schools, healthcare, electricity, water, markets and public facilities.

The publication of the 51-project list therefore puts the reported interventions before the public for further examination and verification, particularly by residents of the affected communities.
